I have a theory that most of the world’s nastiness comes from people’s insecurities and their need to hide/mask/run from them: If I can make you feel small, then I can at least feel bigger than you, and that’s better than how I really feel deep down where I won’t let anyone see.

Bullies on the playground, older siblings, petty bosses, backstabbing colleagues, etc., etc.

The world is a big, dark, scary place, and most of us don’t feel remotely up to the task.

The not-good-enough voices are really loud tonight. Anybody know where the mute button is? I wonder if a pair of Franco Sartos would help.

It helps at least a little, although the voices in my head often drown out all of those around me. I had decided that the Franco Sartos would definitely help, but can’t find them anywhere. All sold out, or only available in boring “camel” (is “tan” less boring if you call it camel?)
